Wayne Sim
Founder, CEO
Wayne is the CEO and co-founder of Tauri. He has over 30 years of experience bringing innovative commercial software solutions to industry. As one of the Principals of Hyprotech, Wayne successfully grew the company into a leading world supplier of process simulation software and services solutions. Hyprotech became the 10th largest software company in Canada in revenue and number one in profit. He subsequently co-founded 3esi, becoming the CEO of 3esi-Enersight (later rebranded to Aucerna). Under Wayne’s leadership Aucerna grew to >$100M in revenue by 2018 and was sold to Thoma Bravo. Wayne continued to serve as the CEO of Aucerna for three years and moved to the Board of Directors after Aucerna merged with its sister company Quorum Software. Wayne is based in Calgary, Alberta.
Adrian Bautista
Founder, EVP Strategy & Acquisitions
Adrian is the EVP Strategy & Acquisitions and a co-founder of Tauri. Previously, he worked with Tauri members Wayne, Salva and Sandy at 3esi/Aucerna. At Aucerna, Adrian worked to scale/professionalize the Global Services Organization and helped lead M&A/Integration efforts. He was an integral part of Aucerna’s aggressive growth strategy – supporting the acquisition and integration of 7 companies in 4 years and scaling the organization to $100M+ revenue. After the sale of Aucerna to Thoma Bravo, Adrian co-founded and served as CEO of FWD Financial, a personal fintech company designed to educate and help people take control of their financial future. Adrian is based in Calgary, Alberta
Brad Pierce
Operating Partner – Legal
Brad is Tauri’s Operating Partner – Legal. Previously, he was a lawyer and senior counsel in the Calgary office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, and served as Chief Legal Officer at Aucerna. There, Brad’s primary area of practise was private equity, venture capital, and mergers and acquisitions. Brad served as counsel for several of Canada’s leading venture capital and private equity firms in western Canada, assisting them with investments, fund formation and governance. Brad also helped form and served on the boards of the Venture Capital Association of Alberta, the A100 and Startup Calgary and served as Vice Chairman and as a Director of the Calgary Economic Development Authority. Brad is based in Calgary, Alberta.
Corrine Siba
Operating Partner – IT
Corrine Siba leads the IT department at Tauri, creating the overall vision, setting strategic priorities, building out the overall IT operations structure for the business and working with the leadership team on targeted company acquisitions. Over a distinguished career Corrine has led every area of IT operations, both as an in-company leader and consultant. She spent most of the last decade at Plains Midstream Canada/Plains All American across various leadership roles, where she improved operational efficiencies, and enhanced service delivery and information management across all areas of the business. Corrine is based in Houston, Texas.
Dale Meister
CFO, Operating Partner – Tax/Finance
Dale is Tauri’s Chief Financial Officer. Dale has more than 30 years experience in international finance and accounting. He has extensive experience in international mergers and acquisitions. Previously, he was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP for over 20 years. Dale has led numerous merger and acquisition deals for public and private enterprises. Dale is a fellow of the Chartered Public Accountants and graduated with distinction from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce. Dale is based in Calgary, Alberta.
Mike Lake
Founder, Operating Partner – Operations
Mike brings over 30 years of experience across the oil & gas and software industries. He was Co-Founder and CEO of Mosaic Integration and COO of Entero Corporation, where he focused on building a high performance culture and team that became leaders in providing upstream and midstream business software to the North American energy industry. He also led the eventual successful exit and sale to Quorum Software in 2018. Prior to founding Mosaic, Mike was a venture partner at Launchworks, a VC firm. Earlier in his career, Mike led more than $500M in transactions for Gulf Canada Resources. Mike is a member of the A100, has an engineering degree from Queen’s University, and earned an MBA from the Ivey School of Business. Mike is based in Calgary, Alberta.
Salvador Clave
Founder, Operating Partner – Go to Market
Salva Clave has more than 30 years of experience across the global enterprise software industry. As COO of Hyprotech, he drove the expansion of the company around the world, acquiring customers in over 100 countries and opening regional offices on all continents. Following the acquisition of Hyprotech by Aspen Technology, Salva assumed the role of Senior Vice President of Global Sales Operations, becoming a key member of the global sales team that successfully reorganized the worldwide sales organization. In 2005, Salva Co-Founded and became COO of Aucerna overseeing all its customer-facing activities and international operations. Salva, after working more than half of his career in Canada, the UK and Germany, is currently based in Barcelona, Spain.
Sandy Moreland
Operating Partner – Talent
Sandy is the Operating Partner – Talent at Tauri. She has over 25 years of leadership experience bringing innovative, commercial software solutions to industry. As the VP of HR at Hyprotech, she was a key member of the leadership team that grew an international company which became the 10th-largest software company in Canada. Following the acquisition of Hyprotech by AEA Technology, Sandy assumed the role of Director of HR for the Software Division, successfully integrating three software companies. In 2005 Sandy co-founded 3esi, as the VP Corporate Services she contributed to the successful execution of 8 acquisitions, growing the company from a start-up to an international organization that delivered over $100 million in revenue. Sandy is currently a Board Member at MPP Software. She is based in Calgary, Alberta.
